Snowy Owls

Well winter certainly hit us this week! What a chill was in the air – but we were warm and cosy in school, and working hard.
Snowy Owls 🦉 use resources to support their different operations in maths.

Plans are already underway for our Christmas production – tickets available next week 🎅🏼👏🏻👏🏻 We ended this week with a non uniform day for Children in Need 🧸
Snowy Owls have been studying the work of Vincent Van Gogh in art. They had a go at recreating his piece ‘Starry Night’ with oil pastels.

Tawny Owns have been learning how words are made up of a different number of syllables.

Snowy Owls drew some spectacular firework pictures through their learning about the gunpowder plot.

Well it’s been a long half term, but we made it! Lots of autumnal activities going on this week, including pumpkins of course! Have a great half term break 🎃

Tawny Owls 🦉 understanding base ten in maths. So crucial to maths all the way to year 6!!

Snowy Owls have been learning about what the past means. We looked at photos of ourselves as babies & toddlers and thought about how our lives have changed up until now. We then looked at photos of British in the past and in the modern day and sorted & compared!

Well done to all the Owlets for settling into full time school so well this week. They are supported by their Eagle Owl buddies who are there for them should they need anything 🩷 Here are some other things we got up to!
Snowy Owls have been practising their brilliant hand writing by writing sentences. They have begun Topic work on the Untied Kingdom.
