You’ve already done half a year!

The whole school had a visit from The Yorkshire Building Society on Friday to help them think about managing money (RHE). In Eagle Owls the pupils really enjoyed planning their parties and all the exciting things that they could include. However they then had to add up the costs and multiply for the numbers invited. Following that they had some long division to do so that they could see how much they would need to charge per ticket in order to cover costs. It was really interesting and they had lots of fun!

We also had a team of very able mathematicians visit Norwich Cathedral to represent the school in a maths quiz. They were working in pairs and had a great time – well done!

You’ve already done half a year!

Barn Owls have enjoyed looking at different countries this week. They have researched flags from around the world and made very accurate copies of them. They explored in detail the continent of Asia and have begun to look at the features of writing a diary. In PE they thoroughly enjoyed an active dance lesson!

You’ve already done half a year!

Owlets have had a busy and productive week. They did some excellent writing reflecting on their half term activities. They also made some streamers and went outside to enjoy flying them in the wind that we are currently experiencing! Using their imaginations, they then created themselves as SuperHeroes! Ask your child what they decided on…

Have a good half term break!

Eagle Owls have tried to complete their geography topic of the world’s Biomes. Many have managed to do so, even with the disruptions of the last two weeks. Well done. They have done their own research and then collaborated with a partner to share the information with each other and the produce their pages in their own way.

Have a good half term break!

Barn Owls have used their class text to create Air Balloons that Phileas Fogg would have escaped in! They worked together in teams and found that they really engaged with the task and worked well in their teams. Barn have also created Pan Pipes and even had a go at playing them as part of their continuing Sound topic in Science.

Some pencil shaped book reports!

Have a good half term break!

Owlets have been busy developing their handwriting and having a go at forming sentences about The Tiger Who Came To Tea. They have looked at the number 7 and thought about Valentines Day next week.

Animalium Art and Mindful colouring

Eagle Owls continue to look into ways of self help and this week were colouring (thanks to Twinkl) and listening to mindful music. It was very relaxing! What lovely quotes for them to think about as well.

They continue to impress with their water colour skills

and are working on their collaborative work on the world’s Biomes.

Around the World in 80 Days

Barn Owls have written some wonderful letters using their class reader as their inspiration – thinking of the sites and sounds that they may encounter on their journey around the world

They continue to learn about sound in science and took a closer look at the ear this week

Chicks and Chickens

Owlets looked at the life cycle of a chicken this week and could be heard singing along to Dingle Dangle Scarecrow!

They cleverly turned their hand prints into chickens.
