Owlets have been looking at different ways of making teen numbers using a ten frame or cubes.
We are planting beans to see how they grow and are going to keep an observation diary to record what happens.
Some Owlets have been practicing their balance skills leading to riding a bike with Little Riders.

Eagle Owls have also begun a new project in geography where they are researching our changing environment – this week looking at physical weathering on the environment. This is one of the pupils work, they are presenting it using computing.

In French Barn Owls are studying animals and made posters of the vocabulary.
As an end of topic project, the Barn Owls had an Easter challenge to make their own Norwich Snapdragons with a moving, snapping mouth. So many children took part and the results were fabulous!

Year 1 have been weighing different items in maths this week. They enjoyed discussing which would be heavier and lighter and making the scales equal weights.
Snowy Owls have been looking at what makes the British Isles a great place to live and made some celebration bunting in PSHE.

In Eagle Owls we made Easter cup cakes this week. We used up the left-over mincemeat we made at Christmas to create some Easter delights! Working cooperatively in groups, the pupils have to work independently and support each other with the different methods needed to create the cakes. They have to share the work and tidy up after themselves. We hope you enjoyed them!

This week the Barn Owls finished presenting their biographies about famous people from Norwich. They are all on display in the classroom. Are there any surprises that you didn’t know came from Norwich?

Snowy Owls continued to develop their skills in observational drawing in art by producing some really effective paintings of spring flowers in vases.
They also made Easter cards and coloured them in to finish the term.
