Another topsy turvy weather week with horrible wet play times then glorious sun by the end of the week!! Here’s some of what we’ve been up to!
Science continues with Mr Pritchard. This week the children dropped raisins into still and fizzy water to see what happened. In the still water the raisins sunk to the bottom of the cup. In the fizzy water they sunk too, but because bubbles get trapped on them they float back to the top. So we had ‘Dancing raisins”

Snowy Owls visited us with the books they had made. They read them to Owlets.📖

WB 23 09 2024

On Wednesday Owlets took part in a science activity with Mr Pritchard. They tasted 2 different juices (lemon and blackcurrant) and told Mr Pritchard which flavours they thought they were. Then they tasted a drink that looked like orange juice, but was water with orange food colouring in. Could they tell that it wasn’t orange juice?

Owlets have been listening to the story of Owl Babies. They sequenced the story and retold it in their own words.

WB 16 09 2024

Well done to all the Owlets for settling into full time school so well this week. They are supported by their Eagle Owl buddies who are there for them should they need anything 🩷 Here are some other things we got up to!

Owlets have settled very well into school life. They have been sorting teddies by size or colour, making a cube tower for their partner to copy.
