Well it’s been a long half term, but we made it! Lots of autumnal activities going on this week, including pumpkins of course! Have a great half term break 🎃

In Eagle Owls autumnal fruits were used to make mincemeat. They will use this later in the year!

And Eagle Owls said goodbye to Mrs Awbery after nearly 12 years with us! Happy Retirement!

What a lovely week, ending with a living history day for the oldest class- Anglo Saxon Day, with Rosie and Darren adding extra understanding in the afternoon.
Some of the fantastic outfits the Eagle Owl children wore yesterday – they looked amazing, thank you to all our lovely families for providing.

Wattle and Daub – making a house wall! Pupils used a mixture of clay, hair and sand then attached it to the wattle.

They ended with a feast of the food they prepared in the morning- all from Anglo Saxon recipes. What a great day!

The Eagle Owls have been using ICT to enhance their history topic: this week they looked at sites about Sutton Hoo as well as using MOAZIK to look at a village from the Anglo Saxon era.

Eagle Owls continue with food tech – bread making, creating their own multi grain loaf this week. We hope you’re enjoying their skills for life lessons!

Well done to all the Owlets for settling into full time school so well this week. They are supported by their Eagle Owl buddies who are there for them should they need anything 🩷 Here are some other things we got up to!
Eagle Owls began their practical food tech lessons by looking at basic bread recipes. They quickly learnt that THEY do it all, so if they don’t follow the recipe carefully, it may not taste the way they expected!!

KS2 are also developing their Tag Rugby skills in lessons with Martin on Thursday afternoons 🏉
