On Tuesday, the Barn Owls enjoyed a fantastic Ancient Egyptian day of discovery and debate at Norwich Castle Museum. They learnt about Egyptian life and mummification, looked at artefacts and made their own Egyptian collar. Their behaviour was excellent.
KS2 were excited to have a Music Worldwide Workshop on Tuesday. They got to work with Pedro Espi-Sanchis. He performed with a wide range of unexpected instruments, from pipes made from kelp to a bow with a gourd threaded onto it to make a stringed instrument. We learnt how even in the most remote village in South Africa they can make music from everything that they have!
Then on Friday we were able to transport 42 children from across KS2 to the annual Cross Country Competition at Earlham Park. Well done to all that took part and to parents who were able to come and support.
What a lovely end to the first half term – our Harvest Assembly. Thank you all so much for your donations and for braving the torrential rain to join us! Have a great half term.

After their visit from the dentist last week, the Barn Owls created information posters explaining how to keep teeth healthy.
Barn Owls are enjoying their music at the moment and are developing their rhythm and tempo with different warm up dances. They are keeping a tune with the glockenspiels and play along with the Charanga videos. They are also learning Mamma Mia by ABBA and we enjoy hearing them singing along!
In Science this week in Barn Owls we learnt about what is inside a tooth. We made a cross section diagram to show what we had learnt.
